Sam Hales, CEO
Private Equity Real Estate fund manager with $60M+ AUM. Sam has 14 years of Real Estate and Management experience in distressed asset workouts, land development, redevelopment and lease options. Aside from being the lead investor/developer in the entitlement and development of large tracts of land, since 2009, he has been actively purchasing single-family properties in the Sacramento market. Typically the properties are dispositioned through a lease option strategy. Sam is also a founding partner of HWZ Management, the manager for the Saratoga Fund. Prior to that, Sam worked in Business Development for an Asian company for nearly 10 years.
Sam is passionate about helping local communities. He currently sits on the board for Auburn Sutter Faith Hospital, and volunteers with local Boy Scout and Church youth groups.
Sam received his MBA from The Wharton School of Business with an emphasis in Finance and a BS from BYU in Chemical Engineering.
Kaitlin Do-Luong, CFO
Kaitlin has been a Hedge Fund Accounting Manager for multiple clients, including: SS&C Globe Op, International Fund Services, Wetherby Asset Management, and State Street. Her responsibilities have included managing staff of hedge fund admins and accountants responsible for internal operations and investment custody services. She also oversaw the hedge fund administrator relationship between IFS and CalPERS Absolute Return Strategy Program.
Kaitlin received her BSE in Accounting from Saint Mary’s College of California.
